Common Buzzard part two

Gave the "Buzzard location" another shot this afternoon. The weather was splendid, so the Buzzards flew high today. The location is right. Spent two hours on location, and got six opportunities and 240 shots.  This time there were a couple of Buzzards. But as I said, the altitude of my motives was a bit too much for my 100-400 mm. A super telly with an extender would have been perfect today :)

Spotted two Common Buzzards when i was driving company car at “dayjob” today. After a nice day at the shooting range, job done and dinner with my family I went back to the location. Brought my camera this time and was hoping for some luck…… Waited about 40 minutes, spending time photographing dancing mosquitoes and Borgen Mill in low sunlight. Then....... Heard a "squiiiik" that could not be anything else than a bird of pray. A Buzzard landed in a Spurce about 100 meters away. My patience was yet again put to a test with a lot of branches between the motive and me..... Waited another 4 long minutes. Then the Buzzard flew past me :) The sun set fast, so I should have paid attention to my ISO setting at my camera. With a few steps higher ISO - the exposure would have been a bit faster. And my pictures would have become at bit more crispy. But...... This is definitely a location I will return to.

Springtime in Norway

A sunny day with 12 degrees. The snow is gone for now. And it´s springtime in Norway. Went for a shoot in local forest after photographed a Crocus that my daughter proud showed me.  The Great spotted woodpecker didn´t mind my presence at all.  The Eurasian Siskin responded heavily to calls from my " N Euro birds app" on my iPhone. So did the Treecreeper as well. Bird-photography is Bird-photography......  When my camera was set for shooting in the forrest, a Northern Goosehawk flew past me about 30 meters away in bright skies. Didn´t make it this time..... Got another shot, but then it was at least 500 meters away, probably laughing at the slow photographer..... :)
